I bring my two dogs there & I drive from 20+ minutes away in Martinez because I trust that I’m receiving top quality care at a reasonable price.
Dr. Virk is by far the best vet we've encountered in all of Concord and the surround areas. Our dog suffers from nervous anxiety and over 10 vets in our area either refused to treat her or said we had to put her to sleep whenever she had to come in for treatment. But with Dr. Virk, he took time acclimating with her and took her back with no muzzle. She has been going to him for over 8 years now and has never bit anyone or had to be put to sleep, outside of dental cleanings, which is normal. I'd give him 6 stars if we could because he just knows how to treat animals better than the surround vets.
Our cat was diagnosed with worms and we tried to give the medicine ourselves but she threw it up. The doctor was able to give our cat the medicine with no issues. Dr. Virk is a kind doctor who cares about his patients. We are very happy to have Alpine as our vet provider.
I've been taking all my animals here for several years despite moving out of the city in 2014. Dr. Virk and Dr. Freeman are so knowledgeable, always take their time, and always educate. They are both always so kind and I've had nothing but great experiences here. Prices are very fair too! Keep an eye out for their dental specials! I saved a ton of money on a deep cleaning and extractions. And the vet tech they use for cleanings was just as kind, knowledgeable, and amazing.

Dr Virk is an incredibly kind, compassionate and skilled vet. My kitty was seen within 24 hours and received top notch care! My dog has recently been very Ill with pyometra and kidney failure, however Dr. Virk, the vet techs, and staff have been nothing but amazing going above and beyond to get her back to health.
